 INTRODUTION TO LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AT IUM

What is LMS?  

LMS stands for: Learning management system d it is a software application or web-based technology used to plan, implement and assess a specific learning process. It's used for e-learning practices and, in its most common form, consists of two elements: a server that performs the base functionality and a user interface (UI) that is operated by instructors, students and administrators.

It typically provides an instructor with a way to create and deliver content, monitor student participation, and assess student performance. It might also provide students with interactive features, such as threaded discussions, video conferencing and discussion forums. 

LMS was established in 2021, for the Centre of Distance and e-Learning (CDeL), where these center was established to address the evolving needs of students and leverage technological advancements in education. Our mission is to deliver flexible, accessible, and high-quality educational opportunities nities to students around the globe.

LMS serves as a centralized platform for all learning resources, materials, and assessments. Students, teachers, and administrators can access a wealth of educational content in one place, streamlining the learning process. This centralized approach ensures consistency in content delivery and makes it easier for learners to access relevant resources at their convenience.
